The Nicopeia Onlus association was founded based on a long tradition of dedication and commitment on behalf of the Bardelli family in social work in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Nicopeja is officially active since 2005 and is focused on young children, and children in general, living in Italy or abroad.
The association, recognized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia region in 2006, in the social and social health sectors.
This "non-profit family organization" is working on countless projects, always willing to cooperate with religious organizations and other associations, because Nicopeja strongly believes that partnerships are an inexhaustible source of new projects and responses to human needs.
Here we list only a few projects:

- Motherhood project in Madagascar, in collaboration with a small hospital(obstetric and pediatric) with medical laboratory for testing;
- Integrated Loyola Tribal Center in Andhra Pradesh, India, in collaboration with the Jesuit Priests and the Italy-India Friendship Association ONLUS, housing hundreds of tribal children;
- The design of a mobile clinic in KP Peta, also in Andhra Pradesh, India, providing 'health care to the tribal population in a fully equipped jeep.
- A primary school, St. Mary, in Raghunathapally - Andhra Pradesh, India - run by the Indian priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus;
- A dispensary and health center run by the nuns Daughters of Mary of Calcutta in Mirik - West Bengal;
- A project "combating infant malnutrition" in Cochabamba - Bolivia under the supervision of the Friulan Archbishop Mons. Tito Solari;
- Maternity-project in Togo in collaboration with the Friulian Sisters of Providence of San Luigi Scrosoppi;
- a Project "support a new entrepreneur" in Togo in collaboration with the city of Udine in the Friulian Sisters of Providence of San Luigi Scrosoppi;
- a Project "donate a smile" in Congo in collaboration with Operation Smile - Italy;

In Italy the Nicopeja Association also supports the Food Bank, the "Ernesto Balducci" center and La Viarte Onlus Association.
