Grandfather Christmas, a feast for the Elderly
Grandfather Christmas takes place on December 26, Boxing Day, a time of sharing and coming together for the elderly. As has become customary since 2003, the representatives of the sponsoring institutions, among which we mention the Province of Udine, City of Udine, Martignacco and Pasian di Prato and the transportation company SAF, toast Christmas together with over 400 elderly people from the most important and active associations. Città Fiera shopping and leisure center is transformed into a beautiful dining room and dance floor with lots of music and literary entertainment. The day of celebration is enriched by a lottery with prizes provided by the shopping center stores and the proceeds are donated to charities with initiatives aimed at helping children around the world.
